KECK AMPHITHEATRE at THE DISNEY CONCERT HALL
LOS ANGELES, CA

This project adds a perforated, metal enclosure to the existing Keck Amphitheatre on the roof of the Disney Concert Hall, to provide shade and minimize glare.

The installation maintains maximum ventilation and views while minimizing glare and direct sun light with a series of horizontal, metal bands that decrease in size and openness from bottom to top. Perforations in these bands allow full visibility, while the top, covering pieces are virtually opaque to block glare.

The enclosure provides sound and lighting support for future shows.
