This 2,400 square foot residence is in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The project sits on a very steep up-slope hillside with the mandate to provide exterior moments connecting the street and building.

The building never turns inward, or away, from the front street, even though that is typically prohibitive with similar topography. This connection is created with careful building placement, an accessible garage roof deck, visible site circulation, flat front lawn and a 2nd floor roof deck.
