This 2,700 square foot hillside residence is located in Los Angeles.

This house is a complex composition of horizontal and vertical elements and finishes designed to counter the visual obstacle of the extreme, upslope site. The three bands are designed to be viewed and experienced from multiple points both inside and outside the residence. The top, articulated layer captures public spaces of varying geometries and volumes.
